How musicians use Backstage AI for band merch, album covers, logos, tour posters, and zero-inventory stores — without a warehouse or a design hire.

Brick-red sweatpants with a crescent hip logo on a cyan-magenta wash
Band merch
Illustrated mixtape cover of a cassette floating in a peach night sky
Album covers
Concert flyer of a figure in a pink robe standing in fog and fire-colored bloom

Usual sequence

Logo or cover, then merch, then a flyer, then a shop.

  1. 01

    Identity

Logo or cover first so the shirt and the flyer are not three unrelated files.

  2. 02

    Merch

Place the look on a garment. Preview on a real blank. Set a sale price.

  3. 03

    Poster

Show flyers that match the drop. Optional sellable poster SKU in the catalog.

  4. 04

    Live shop

Print after each order. PayPal payouts. You still drive traffic.

Honest answers in one line

No warehouse. A remainder, not the whole ticket.

Creators who want a web editor or merch without music visuals can use MRCH.

What is Backstage AI, and how is it different from MRCH?

Backstage AI is the musician-first studio from Backstage AI LLC: band merch, album covers, logos, and tour posters. MRCH is the creator merch app — AI designs plus a live print-on-demand store — on iOS, Android, and the web. Both products are made by the same Kansas company. If you are a band or artist, start with Backstage AI; if you want merch without the music-visuals tools, use MRCH.

Can I design and sell band merch in Backstage AI?

Yes. Backstage AI is built for musicians who want custom band merch without inventory. Generate artwork, preview it on garments, set a price, and publish a live shop so fans can buy tees and other gear while you promote a release or a tour.

Can I make album covers with Backstage AI?

Yes. Backstage AI includes an album cover flow for square covers that read at thumbnail size, plus mixtape art. You can keep that look consistent when you move the same visual language onto merch, posters, and other assets.

Can I create a band logo?

Yes. The app has a logo creation flow for artist and band logos. Use the logo on merch, covers, and posters so the project looks like one brand instead of unrelated graphics.

Can I make tour posters and concert flyers?

Yes. Poster tools in Backstage AI are meant for tour merch, show flyers, and event posters. Pair a poster with a live merch drop so the same campaign sells shirts and promotes the date.

How do I keep album covers and merch looking like one project?

Design them in the same studio. Lock the cover or logo first, then place that identity on garments and posters. Backstage AI exists so the DSP tile, the flyer, and the merch table share a brand instead of three unrelated files.

Is Backstage AI an alternative to Merch by Amazon?

Backstage AI is a musician-first studio with band merch, covers, logos, posters, and a live shop you publish yourself. Merch by Amazon is Amazon’s merch listing program. If you want design plus a store that is not an Amazon merch catalog, Backstage AI is built for that path — it is not a drop-in Amazon dashboard.

Do I need inventory to sell merch?

No. Merch in Backstage AI is print on demand. Items are produced and shipped after a fan orders. You do not buy a box of shirts before the drop, which matters on tour when you cannot guess sizes two months out.

How do I price band merch and see profit?

You set the sale price. Before you launch, Backstage AI shows production cost and estimated profit. Profit is not the full sticker price — Backstage AI LLC takes a merch cut. Use the on-screen margin, not a guess at the booth.

Can fans buy from a live store?

Yes. After you design and price a product, you can publish a live shop. Production starts when an order comes in. Connect PayPal so payouts can be sent after sales. The shop is the URL you put next to a presave or on a table QR code.

Can I sell tour merch before the show?

Yes. Publish the tour tee or hoodie, share the shop with the ticket link, and let print-on-demand start after each order. You are not sitting on unsold stock if a date cancels. After the show, the same shop stays open for people who missed the table.

What is the usual Backstage AI workflow?

Logo or album cover first, then merch, then a poster, then a live shop. You can skip around — a DJ with a wordmark can jump straight to a hoodie. The how-it-works page walks through that sequence. The order is for visual consistency, not a forced wizard.

Is Backstage AI free to download?

Yes. Get it on the App Store and Google Play. AI generation uses credits on your account. You buy packs or a subscription from Billing in the app. Current credit amounts and prices are shown at checkout — they are not listed here because they can change.

Do I need a computer or a designer?

No. Design merch, covers, logos, and posters from your phone. Independent bands without a design hire are the actual audience. The app is not a celebrity merch program and does not claim famous acts as users.

Can I use a logo I already have?

Yes. You can generate a new logo or bring an existing logo into merch, covers, and posters. The useful part is reuse: one identity across the release, the flyer, and the shirt.

Where can I download Backstage AI?

Get BACKSTAGE Design & Sell Merch on the App Store and Google Play. Listing links, Apple ID, and Android package name are on the download page. Rated 5.0 from 11 App Store ratings — a small, real sample.

How do I delete my Backstage AI account?

MRCH and Backstage AI share the same account system. Close the account in the app (Billing → Logout → Close Your Account) or email info@backstageai.com from the Google account you used to sign in.

How do I contact support?

Email info@backstageai.com. Tell us you use Backstage AI, the email on the account, and what went wrong. The same inbox covers MRCH.
